New Site Radar vs DevHunt
Disclosure: we build New Site Radar. Everything below about DevHunt comes from its public pages as we read them on October 4, 2026 (sources at the bottom). Products change; if something here is out of date, email hello@newsiteradar.com and we will fix it.
DevHunt is a launchpad for developer tools, where makers list tools and developers vote on a new batch each week. New Site Radar's monthly rankings focus instead on recently registered AI tool websites gaining traffic.
Side by side
- What it tracks
- New Site Radar: AI tool sites registered in 2025 or later that are gaining traffic
- DevHunt: Developer tool launches: each week a new batch launches on the home page and developers vote for the ones they like (voting needs a GitHub or Google sign-in); the tools with the most votes at the end of the week are the winners and are featured in the weekly newsletter. The platform's code is public on GitHub
- Interface language
- New Site Radar: English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese
- DevHunt: English (other languages not checked)
- Paid plan
- New Site Radar: Pro $19/month or $149/year
- DevHunt: Free for visitors; paid launch options for makers: $19 once (pick any launch week, a spot in the newsletter and a dofollow link) or $49 boosted (listed above $19 and free launches on equal votes, on the site and in the weekly email, plus its own post on X); sponsored spots on the home page and at the top of the weekly newsletter are also sold
- Free plan
- New Site Radar: 20-site monthly sample of the rankings, every site page, watchlist of 10 sites
- DevHunt: Browsing launches and voting; listing a tool is free, with a launch week from the queue (links on free listings are nofollow)
- Second-source check of traffic numbers
- New Site Radar: Yes: traffic is compared with a second, independent source (search-traffic estimates, or Tranco rank for brand-driven sites); sites only one source covers are labelled; site owners can request a correction, with review outcomes shown on the site page.

When DevHunt is the better fit
- You want to list a developer tool for free and receive a launch week through the queue.
- You need a $19 paid launch that lets you pick any launch week and includes a newsletter spot and a dofollow link.
When New Site Radar is the better fit
- You want AI tool sites that launched recently and are starting to grow, before they are well known.
- You want to know how far to trust each number: every figure is checked against a second source where one exists, and the evidence is on the site page (see the methodology).
- You want to query the data from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex over MCP.
Try it: the growth rankings have a free monthly sample, and Pro shows the full board.
